Lida’s Reading List

With a couple of exceptions, I took a little detour from reading adult fiction this month and turned to picture books. I savored the simplicity of these sweet kids’ stories where every word truly does count.

A Fool and His Honey (Aurora Teagarden Mysteries Book 6) by Charlaine Harris
The Expats by Chris Pavone (in progress)
Oceans of Love by Janet Lawler
Knuffle Bunny: A Cautionary Tale by Mo Willems
Jacob’s New Dress by Sarah and Ian Hoffman
When Blue Met Egg by Lindsay Ward
It’s Raining Bats and Frogs by Rebecca Colby

Carol’s Reading List

I’ve been armchair traveling this month, dreaming of being back in England, one of my favorite places to be. Every time I go, I make sure I spend plenty of time in local pubs. Each of Grimes’s titles is the name of a real pub in the UK.

The Man with a Load of Mischief by Martha Grimes
The Old Fox Deceiv’d by Martha Grimes
The Anodyne Necklace by Martha Grimes
The Dirty Duck by Martha Grimes
Help the Poor Struggler by Martha Grimes
The Deer Leap by Martha Grimes
I Am the Only Running Footman by Martha Grimes
The Five Bells and Bladebone by Martha Grimes
The Old Silent by Martha Grimes
The Old Contemptibles by Martha Grimes
The Case Has Altered by Martha Grimes

Jen’s Reading List

My taste (and that of my children I am reading with) was all over the place this month. It’s been fun to remember each of them.

Tina’s Reading List

My trip to Japan was divine, but my reading time definitely suffered. No better excuse to read less than to be visiting an interesting country and catching up with my son! I got a fair amount of work done on my Japan book while I was in the zone, so I can’t complain.

She and Her Cat by Makoto Shinkai and Naruki Nagakawa
Sixty-nine by Ryu Murakami
Novelist as Vocation by Haruki Murakami
Colorful by Eto Mori
Granta 127: Japan Issue Spring 2014
