Lida’s Reading List

I’ve never been much of a cozy mystery reader…until now. Took me long enough, but I’ve discovered I’m enjoying the slow unfolding and easy reading of mysteries without threat of violence or upset. I also love a good underdog story, especially when it’s true.

Carol’s Reading List

When I discover a book that I enjoy and it’s part of a series, I always like to go back to the first in that series and read through from the beginning. You can see that’s what I’ve been doing with the Inspector Banks Mysteries by Peter Robinson. Sadly, Robinson passed away recently. I’ve found each subsequent book that I’ve read somehow bittersweet and more valued.

The Hanging Valley by Peter Robinson
Past Reason Hated by Peter Robinson
Wednesday’s Child by Peter Robinson
Cold is the Grave by Peter Robinson
Innocent Graves by Peter Robinson
In A Dry Season by Peter Robinson
Playing with Fire by Peter Robinson
Strange Affair by Peter Robinson
Piece of My Heart by Peter Robinson
Friend of the Devil by Peter Robinson
All the Colors of Darkness by Peter Robinson
Jerusalem Inn by Martha Grimes (Re-read for the umpteenth time)
The Old Contemptibles by Martha Grimes (Ditto above!)

Jen’s Reading List

I didn’t think I got much reading in this month, but then I started listing books and realized I got more time in than I thought. What a nice surprise!

Tina’s Reading List

My reading has suffered this month; most of my time has been about putting my ducks in a row in order to travel for five weeks. I will either read an enormous amount while I’m gone or even less. Only time will tell.

Blacktop Wasteland by S.A. Cosby
Kimono Tattoo by Rebecca Copeland (Finally getting to finish this book – an intriguing combo of mystery and local color in Japan’s cultural capital of Kyoto)
Rice, Noodle, Fish: Deep Travels Through Japan’s Food Culture by Matt Goulding (also just finished from earlier month.)
Japanese Cinema: An Introduction by Donald Richie
